Gay Girl Revolution narrates the story of Robyn Harper, a 29 year old lesbian, and her experiences; in life, with relationships, her flings, her friendships and the gay scene – her playground, teacher and trap!
Meet Robyn. She’s out and she’s proud. She’s an aspiring writer. Though I haven’t read much of her work, I know she’s a deep thinker and quite poetic in her words. I’m looking forward to seeing her contribution to the world.
With her big blonde hair complementing her feminine physique, she’s no stereotypical lesbian. Her appearance often serves to confuse and intrigue people. When she’s on form, her bright green eyes carry an alluring look of seduction. It’s all part of her charm, and charming she is.
Robyn has a real and genuine interest in people and their well being. The human mind intrigues her deeply, how we think and why we do what we do. She believes in everyone and has faith in our potential; that each one of us can be great. To Robyn we are all put on this earth to be the best that we can, to realize our full potential. She believes we all have hidden talents. Our job is to find them and show them to the world for the benefit of ourselves and more importantly, for those around us.
She often quotes Mohammed Ali that “service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth.” She’s a self-proclaimed bookworm and eternal student of the wonder that is life. When she’s not reading up on psychology and self-development, you’ll often find her with a girl in a gay bar, either kissing or counselling her! She has this natural ability to connect with people. When she looks into your eyes, you feel it. When her smile follows, it infects you. If her eye twinkles, you’re in trouble! She has a warm personality and her welcoming demeanour always puts you at ease. She listens more than she talks. You feel like she understands you. She usually does. Born in October, she’s a true Libra to her core and always strives to see things from your point of view. Her sensitive side coupled with her Libra charm gets her in trouble with the ladies. Lots of trouble and lots of ladies!
Though she spends much time deep in thought, she’s a light-hearted girl and playful in her approach. Where her personal values are concerned, fun ranks highly, if it doesn’t top the list completely! To Robyn, there’s simply no better remedy than laughing to lift your mood and keep it there. Our conscious minds can hold one thought at a time. As she always says, make it a good one.
Her favorite motto reads:
“Why take life so seriously? None of us are going to get out alive anyway!”
Robyn loves life and she’s generally a happy girl. Aside from learning, two of the major players in her life are girls and booze. Her Achilles heel you might say! It’s always intriguing to see the aftermath of when her two great ‘loves’ collide!
To describe Robyn in one word, I would have to say: compassionate. If I can use two: best friend.
Looks, brains and personality. Quite a catch to the girl who eventually captures her heart. Whoever she is…
Robyn’s likes: Corona, boy pants, tank tops, lattes, music, soccer and yellow writing paper.
Robyn’s dislikes: Hangovers.
