Tomorrow for just one day, the whole country, our country, will come to a screeching halt to reflect and give thanks. Families will gather together around the table; and if they cannot, they will use one of today’s many convenient electronic means of communication available to connect with each other from a distance. Some families will be torn, and some will be grateful.
For just one day, the door to their heart and spirit will be opened just a crack to allow love and emotions to flow freely. For just one day, their problems may disappear in the shadow of reflection of good fortune and blessings. For others, nothing will change.
Some people will be working, some will be serving food to the homeless, and some will be sitting somewhere alone.
But for just one day, we are all crumbs in the butter.
