If you were on your death bed, dying from a loss of blood, and needed a blood transfusion, would you care if the blood came from someone who was heterosexual versus gay? The FDA seems to care. They have a LIFETIME ban on males who have engaged in sexual contact with another male from giving blood, stating that they are at a higher risk for HIV/Aids.

This is appauling and and also disgusting that the FDA would ban a whole group of people from donating blood based on their sexual preference. In this day and age, where homosexuality is becoming more and more accepted and prominent, that leaves out a good chunk of the population from being able to donate blood. Just imagine how many people are being turned away from donating blood because of who their heart chooses to love. And imagine how many people are dying because the person who has the same blood type as them is gay. It’s not a good feeling to be turned away.

Lets get the message out and open the eyes of the FDA – that they need to get with the times and stop discriminating! BLOOD IS BLOOD, GAY OR STRAIGHT!
